• The project will transform an intertidal mangrove area into a new boating destination.• The scope is for a 4500m² reclamation, dredging, 130 berth marina and onshore facilities including carparking area.• The construction of the reclamation and dredging of the marina basin is underway
TUTUKAKA marina REBUILD
• Shorewise were appointed as the design consultant for the rebuild of the damaged parts of the Tutukaka marina following the Tonga Tsunami.
• The replacement piers have been designed to cope with fututre Tsunami current speeds of up to 10 knots.
• The works included the rebuild of the fuel pier, C, D and E pier T Heads and the complete rebuild of L Pier.

• Shorewise provided the design for the repacement of the Mill Bay Jetty which was at the end of its life. We provided the full site investigation, coastal hazard report, jetty , fendering and pontoon design.
• The jetty includes a weigh station and is setup for berthing alongside.

• Shorewise provided the structural design for a new 80m concrete commercial wharf, 150 Ton haulout ramp and two lane public boat ramp.
• We provided the design and reporting to support the consents for the structures as well as construction observation.
• The soft groud conditions required closed end wharf piles up to 30m long and both ramps to be supported by underpinning piles.
• The structures provide the required infrastructure for a marine hub for the local aquaculture industry..
OMAPERE wharf
• Shorewise were engaged to provide the design for the repacement of the wharf head which was at the end of its life. We provided the full site investigation, coastal hazard report, wharf , fendering and stair design.
• The wharf was designed in precast concrete for maximum life.
• We provided the contract documents, managed the tendering process and construction.
PORT NIKAU MARINA
• Shorewise were engaged to provide a full site investigation, hazard reporting and pile design for the Port Nikau Marina.
• Two marina piers are now complete catering for vsssels up to 40m in length
560 ton travel lift
• Shorewise provided the structural design for the runways and approach ramps for this new 560 Ton travel lift to service the marine industry in Whangarei.
• The detailed design works consisted of the support piles, runways, sheet piled seawall and the pile supported apprach runways. The 800mm diamater support piles were driven up to 36m embedment.

• Shorewise were engaged to provide the coastal reporting, structural design for this custom designed modular precast concrete seawall, structural design for the pile and panel retaining wall for the new reclamation and the pile design for the marina extension.
• The design removed the old rock breakwater and created space for additional berths for vessels up to 20 metres.

• The design allows for a quad bike to run down the length of the boardwalk with a turning bay near the jetty head. The design was configured for full tide access to the pontoon to suit the relatively shallow bay.

HOUHORA BIG GAME CLUB WHARF
• Shorewise were engaged to provide the detailed design for the replacement wharf structure and the piles for two new berthing pontoons.
• The wharf includes a game fish gantry and is designed for vehicle access for loading big game fish.

HOKIANGA WHARVES
• Shorewise were engaged to provide the full site investigation, geotechnical reporting, coastal hazard reports and structural design for three wharves. One new concrete wharf at Rangi Point and two replacement timber wharves with new pontoons at Tekaraka and Mangungu.
• The project increased the connectivity within the Hokianga Harbour.
PORT NIKAU SUPERYACHT BERTHS
• Shorewise were engaged to provide the site investigation and design for a new berth for superyachts up to 60 metres at the Port Nikau Wharf.• The scope of works also included design for a new 20 metre vessel berth and seawall reinforcing adjacent to the Port Nikau offices.
GREAT BARRIER ISLAND
Shorewise provided a full site investigation, coastal hazard report and design for the pontoon and gangway to provide full tide access to this amazing spot at Kotuku Cove.

• Shorewise were engaged by the Whangarei District Council to provide a range of investigation and design services for the new Hatea park adjacent to the Hundertwasser museum.

• The project has transformed the former dead end road into an interactive public space for the display of Waka.• We also provided the reporting and design for the new jetty just down the river for people to be able to approach the site by Waka.

affco boiler house
• Shorewise provided the investigation, geotechnical report and foundation design for the new boiler house shed, as well as the waste water redesign for the adjacent building. We applied for the consents required and obtained all of the required approvals.
• We provided the foundation and structural design for the 20m chimney, fuel silos, the boiler feed tanks, stairways and the overhead steam line support frame.
• This was a challenging project with multiple components and working around a fully operational meat processing plant.
PAIHIA WHARF EXTENSION
• This project delivered a new 350 m² precast concrete wharf, four new high freeboard pontoons with aluminium gangways, one replacement pontoon, two timber wharf extensions, a new fuel jetty and extension works to the existing wharf.• Rob worked as the principals representative to deliver the site investigations, concrete and timber wharf designs, pontoon piling design, contract documents, tender management and project management for the contract .• This was a very challenging project to construct and deliver all of the structures within a highly variable seabed and while keeping the extremely busy wharf open and operational for public and tourism use.
OPUA WHARF BERTH
• This project delivered a 111 x 4 metre high freeboard berth, two new 18 metre gangways, a gangway landing with securtty gate and power and water services.• Rob worked as the principals representative to deliver the contract documents, tender management and project management for the design and build contract .
RUSSELL WHARF REDEVELOPMENT
• This project delivered a 120 m² wharf deck extension, five new pontoons, four new gangways and replaced an existing timber wharf.• Rob worked as the principals representative to deliver the contract documents, tender management and project management for the design and build contract .
